LOADING THE FILM ONTO THE SPIRAL AND CORE

  • If the leader has retracted into the cassette, use a Film Retriever to pull it back out
  • Cut off the leader - between two holes
  • Find the two ball bearings on the core, first checking that they are free moving
  • Be sure the entry points of the core are opposite each other
  • Enter the film and pull it over the ball bearings
  • Lead the film onto the spiral for about one inch
  • Place the core inside the spiral (THIS IS IMPORTANT)

This is as far as you can go outside the darkroom
